 I want to date a poet

I want to Know what it means to be flattered with words,

I want to hear, let my heart drown in the depth of his thoughts.

I want to walk around inside the sun, while he writes a sonnet,

I want to listen to his melodious voice, while he recites love poems for me alone.

I want to date a poet,

Our love story would be better than that of Romeo and Juliet, 

With happily ever after.

He would caress me with words,

Just same way he caress his pen.

And, if we have children,

They would be poets too.

He would sweep me off my feet with his alluring lines,

Captivating me with kisses.

I want to date a poet.
