I WAS THERE : A POEM.

I have been there.

The times you were hurt,

The times you were broken, you felt your heart was used as token

Rejection caressed your depression

Taking a ride on your pride..

I was there, during the night times

And the stormy season

When you fought for your sanity

Trying to fend off the cockiness of the accuser

I felt your pain..

When you felt  spooky

Like one monitored by an all seen eye, with resounding baritonic voice in your head,"there's no hiding for you,"he said

I felt you cringe

When  you took a shot of that  syringe,

It felt strange how he whispered rhetorically to you.

Dangling the red sparkling bottle before your very eyes

Feeding your lust;urging you to commune with the substance like your life depend on it,

"end it all here and now he mocked"

I was there.

When you crushed at what seems to be his jokes;

Moaning at each stroke of pain he unleashed.

I was there, when he slide his lies inside you,

Like  a DM at first you felt butterfly in your stomach, then came the sting.

When he promised  a life of bed of roses,

But lured you into bed of lies, now you lie like   Delilah because his proposal became a deal you cannot deny

So,what if I make you another deal for real,

To pull you out of the ocean of agony.

If you can trust my process to make a masterpiece out of your pieces.

I mean if you can let me ease you in to my Oasis.

For your depression I was deeply pressed on,

To set my affection on this earthen vessel.

Have you ever been in love?

What about a royal one nightstand;then you can decide if you'll stand before me all night long,

Perhaps a ride with me on the wings of the wind to see what a cinema really looks like?

I AM life, have you ever eaten love from the source?,you will never run out of resources.

I AM the life of the party

In  my presence is fullness of Liberty.

Have you seen beauty

I will show you what it means to be classy, when you ride with me  to the galaxy,

Even if you still turn me down.

I have already penned the words of my love on the pages of my heart

Because, I will always be there.
